About Living in the twilight zone
and its journalists
It’s generally agreed that being alive is a good thing, and Australians are getting better at it. Our senior population grows every day. By 2042, one quarter of Australians will be aged 65 and over. But the aged care system isn't holding up under the pressure, despite the best efforts of its employees. Living in the twilight zone is an exploration of the ageing population phenomenon and the lives affected by it. |
What is life in a nursing home like? How will the aged care system need to change in the future? Who are the citizens of our senior population? What stories do they have? |
Living in the twilight zone is a multimedia project by University of Wollongong journalism students.
